🚧 The Wall Keeps Growing!

Just because I’ve been quiet doesn’t mean the work has! The BFiG Busumbala Nursery School wall is taking shape fast. Check out the latest photos — the front section is rising beautifully and you can even spot where the main school gates will one day welcome our pupils inside. But we still need you to help us!

👷 Lamin Leads the Way

School Manager “Uncle” Lamin Barrow is working tirelessly, supervising every step and keeping the Busumbala Village Development Committee (VDC) in the loop.
The VDC aren’t just watching — they’re acting! They’ve spoken to families who were dumping rubbish near the school and told them firmly to STOP. Clean environment, safer school, stronger community!

🌙 Ramadan Slowdown, But Not a Stop

As the end of Ramadan approaches and Koriteh celebrations begin, construction will slow down a little — but we’re not stopping!
Over the coming days, our team will:

Dig the foundations for the third and final wall
Add more layers to the walls already built
The goal? Twelve solid courses high to fully protect the school grounds.

💸 Rising Prices, Rising Determination: Help Us!

Just like in the UK (and everywhere else), prices in The Gambia are climbing. Building this wall is costing more than expected.
Thanks to a few recent generous donations, we’re still pushing forward… but we urgently need more support to finish the project.
