Yesterday, I posted a call for support — and today I’m following it up with a little video, a big thank you, and two urgent targets that will help transform BFiG Busumbala Nursery School.

🔐 Target 1: Buy and Install the School Gates

The wall around our school is almost complete. We just need:

One large double gate
One small single gate

🧱 Without these gates, the wall can’t do its job of keeping our children safe and securing our school grounds.

💰 Cost estimate: £500 total
We’re already partway there thanks to incredibly generous supporters. If you’re one of them — thank you! 🙏

🌸 Target 2: Plant Trees & Flowers Before the Rains Arrive

Once the gates are in, we can start planting! Our dream?
🌴 Shade trees
🌺 Bougainvillea and other flowers
🌿 Bright, green school grounds for learning and play

Timing matters! 🌧️ The rainy season is almost here, and planting now means our young trees will thrive.

🎥 A Holiday? Not for Lamin! 🙌

Today is a Bank Holiday in England and a Public Holiday in The Gambia… but School Manager Lamin Barrow has been on site, working hard and cleaning the school grounds 💪🇬🇲

He’s also recorded a short thank you video for everyone who has helped so far. If all goes well, construction resumes tomorrow!
