Nomad’s Trails – The Gambia – Part 1

Peyman and Matilda are undertaking the adventure of a lifetime, cycling around the world for the next ten years. They are making a Video Log to chronicle their entire journey. This is what they say about themselves on their Nomad’s Trails Youtube channel:
We are Peyman and Matilda and since 2018 we are cycling around the world for 10 YEARS, making vlog-style documentary videos about our adventures. We have cycled from Finland to Africa, and currently we are cycling the west coast towards South Africa and from there to Kenya. After Africa we will start to cross Asia and the Americas. This is the 15th vlog from our journey.
In March 2020, they crossed from Senegal to The Gambia and, because of Covid 19, started a longer stay on the Smiling Coast than they had anticipated.
In this vlog we cross the border between Senegal and The Gambia. We cycle the south bank of the Gambia river to the coast and arrive to the capital region Kombo. Benta teaches us how to dry and prepare rice, we visit the country side and villages and end up pushing our bikes on the sand roads. We are amazed to feel the different atmosphere arriving from the quiet countryside to the capital.
