Busumbala Nursery School – Week 2

Uncle Lamin Barrow has sent us some more photos and video from our second week open. Here are photos from both of our classrooms.

After only a week, we now have a class of 30 children and a second class of 20 children. Teacher Mr. Omar Drammeh is spending his time working between the two classes. There is the possibility of a volunteer supporting Mr Drammeh in the classroom. The Busumbala Village Development Committee is currently talking to a lady who wants to go to Gambia College and train to be a teacher. She is currently looking for experience in the classroom. Watch this space for more news.

We’re looking at ways of enhancing the space around the school. Trees will provide valuable protection and also create sheltered spaces where outdoor learning can take place.
