Big News! School Manager Lamin Barrow has been BUSY today! As the Rainy Season comes to an end, the school site has exploded with weeds, grass and runaway greenery. So, Lamin is rallying members of the local community to help clear the grounds and make the school ready for our children’s return. 💪🌿

🎉 New School Badges Are on the Way!
Lamin headed straight to the printers this morning to order 50 brand-new embroidered school badges. These will be sewn onto new uniforms for new pupils joining us very soon. We can’t wait to see the children proudly wearing them! 👕✨
🧼 Classroom Clean-Up: Teamwork in Action!
Lamin has also rolled up his sleeves to help our brilliant teacher Sibo Fatty scrub and sweep the classrooms. Dust, cobwebs and chalk residue don’t stand a chance! The children are going to walk into sparkling, welcoming classrooms on their first day back. 🌈
📝 HUGE Step Forward: Official School Tax Registration!
This may not sound glamorous, but it’s BIG news! Lamin visited the GRA (The Gambia Revenue Authority) and BFiG Busumbala Nursery School now has its official Taxpayer Identification Number.
💡 Why is this important?
It means our charity can pay tax on behalf of staff properly and legally, which is a key requirement for full school registration. Every school in The Gambia must be registered by the end of October—or risk closure.
🔥 Thanks to this step, we’re firmly on track!
🎒 Adorable Alert: Ebrima’s First Day!
In family news, Lamin’s son Ebrima started school today! Just look at him in his brand-new uniform. What a smart young scholar! 👦📚💙
