For those who kindly follow my occasional witterings, here’s some amazing news about The Gambian Schools Trust!

📚 A Surprise Delivery from Gambian Schools Trust

A few days ago, I received a message from Paul at Gambian Schools Trust letting me know they had more resources for our little nursery school in Busumbala.

So, early this Sunday morning, School Manager ‘Uncle’ Lamin Barrow travelled to Tanji to meet their team. He returned with:

exercise books
reading books
toys
games
and a bundle of other learning resources 🎉

It is rare for charities or organisations to reach out without being asked. This is the second time Gambian Schools Trust has supported us, and we couldn’t be more grateful. A huge thank you to Paul and the team — your kindness will be felt by every child who learns, plays and explores with these resources. 🙏

🪥 Emmanuel School, Walsall — Bless You!

I’m currently fortunate enough to be working at Emmanuel School in Walsall, a school with a genuinely caring ethos rooted in kindness. They have just donated toothbrushes and toothpaste for our nursery children — something so simple, yet so important in supporting their health and wellbeing.

These items will be winging their way to The Gambia in our next shipment… as soon as I can afford to send it!

🧱 School Wall Construction: Back Soon!

The protective wall around our school grounds is close to restarting. Our team of builders from the Busumbala community has been working hard making new blocks, and we’re just waiting for them to fully dry. Once ready… the wall grows once again! Keep watching this space — every brick matters. 🧱✨
